Dr. Roozbeh Razavi-Far

Roozbeh Razavi-Far received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the Amirkabir University of Technology, and achieved a second Ph.D. degree from Politecnico di Milano. He was a postdoctoral fellow at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgium; an NSERC postdoctoral fellow; and a lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the University of Windsor, Canada. He is currently with the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Windsor and serves as a Learning Specialist, Coordinator of the Master of Engineering Programs, and Adjunct Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is also a Cross-appointed Professor with the School of Computer Science at the University of Windsor.


His research focuses on machine learning, data mining, big data analytics, computational intelligence, cybernetics, and security of cyber-physical systems. He is currently an Associate Editor of the Neurocomputing journal and the International Journal of Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Engineering Systems (KES journal). He has been a Guest Editor for several journals; and the Chapter Chair of IEEE Computational Intelligence, and SMC Societies, Windsor Section.

Dr. Mehrdad Saif

Mehrdad Saif received the B.Sc., the M.Sc., and the D.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Cleveland State University, Cleveland, OH, USA, in 1982, 1984, and 1987, respectively. During his graduate studies, he worked on research projects sponsored by NASA Lewis (now Glenn) Research Center, as well as Cleveland Advanced Manufacturing Program. In 1987, he joined the School of Engineering Science, Simon Fraser University. From 2002 to 2011, he was the Director of the School of Engineering Science. He has been the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Windsor since July 2011. He has been a Consultant to a number of industries and agencies such as GM, NASA, B.C. Hydro, Ontario Council of Graduate Studies, and others. 

 

He has published about 300 refereed journal and conference papers plus an edited book in the areas of his research interests, which include systems and control; model-based fault diagnostics; condition monitoring, diagnostics and prognostic; and application of these areas to automotive, power, autonomous systems, and other complex engineering systems. He is currently a member of the editorial board of the IEEE Access, and IEEE Systems Journal.

Maryam Farajzadeh-Zanjani

Maryam Farajzadeh-Zanjani received her MSc degree in computer engineering from University of Windsor, Canada. She is a Ph.D. candidate with the department of computer engineering, University of Windsor. Her research interests include data mining, machine learning, and computational intelligence. Maryam has been Chair of Women in Engineering, and Vice-Chair of Computational intelligent Chapter, IEEE Windsor Section since 2017. She also served as the Vice-Chair of the IEEE Windsor Section in 2020.

Ehsan Hallaji

Ph.D. Student

Ehsan Hallaji received his MSc degree in computer engineering, from University of Windsor, Canada. He is currently a Ph.D. student with the department of electrical and computer engineering, University of Windsor. His current research interests include machine learning, computational intelligence, and data mining. Ehsan has been Vice-Chair of the SMC Chapter, IEEE Windsor Section since 2017. He also served as the secretary and treasurer of the joint Chapter of Computational Intelligence and SMC, IEEE Windsor Section.

Hossein Hassani

Ph.D. Student

Hossein Hassani is a Ph.D. student with the department of computer engineering, University of Windsor. His current research interests include group decision-based support systems, machine learning, computational intelligence, fuzzy logic systems, and application of these areas to fault diagnosis and resilient control of cyber-physical systems. Hossein has been the IEEE Vice-Chair of Computational Intelligence, and Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Societies, Windsor Section.

Sajad Moosavi received his MSc. in Electrical Energy Management in 2011 from Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He is now studying MSc. in Electrical Engineering at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Windsor, ON, Canada. His research interests include machine learning, artificial intelligence, and fault diagnosis. He is currently the secretary of the joint Chapter of Computational Intelligence and SMC, IEEE Windsor Section.
